As an independent asset manager we specialise in property asset management for private and institutional investors. From our offices in Manchester, Munich & Zurich, we serve a wide range of clients with predominantly commercial assets, but also residential, across the UK, Germany & Switzerland.

As McCafferty CEO, Charles Whittle has an exceptional background within the international property sector and is both a well known speaker and frequent co-chair at German and European Real Estate investment summits. Charles has an extensive working knowledge of multi-jurisdictional property and banking transactions. Charles delivers his formidable expertise and experience, gained over three decades, across virtually all aspects of the property sector and is trusted daily by McCafferty clients for his incisive judgment and keen strategic awareness.
Charles is responsible for delivering corporate and acquisition and disposal strategy, together with complex banking tax structuring advice. He works closely with the Financial Director on corporate finance strategy and delivery for clients. He is also responsible for coordinating the property and financial reporting and decisions/recommendation from a management perspective to the investors. Jointly with his senior team, he handles the relationship with a diverse range of sponsors, funders and professional advisors.
He has an extensive knowledge of the property sector having worked in this field for over 30 years including responsibilities for acquiring, managing and selling commercial real estate both in the UK and overseas, particularly in German and Switzerland. Charles joined the McCafferty team in 2002 and acquired the business in 2008. During the last 9 years he has developed the business substantially and has been responsible for the structuring, acquisition and banking of a German and Swiss Property Fund, nearing €1 billion.

Michele is an Asset Manager and Managing Director of the Swiss and German office. He has extensive experience in property asset management, due diligence, valuations, transactions, bookkeeping and financing. At McCafferty Michele played key roles in large portfolio transactions such as Numisma (2011) and Kingfisher (2015). Michele joined McCafferty from MIBAG where he gained experience in property and facility management, running property portfolios and performing property due diligences. Before that he worked at Arup as a structural building designer on award winning buildings in the UK, Germany and The Netherlands.
Graduated with honours in civil engineering from Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands in 1995. Achieved the Eur.Ing. title in 1999. Successfully joined the Royal Instituted of Charted Surveyors (MRICS) in 2009.

Ramin Rabeian has over 12 years of experience in asset management and has worked, among others, for Sal. Oppenheim and F&C Reit Asset Management (now BMO Real Estate Partners) in Munich. Before joining McCafferty he was responsible at Stenham Property (now Stenprop) in London for a portfolio valued at €1.4bn, managing asset management, joint venture partner and all refinancing.

Sebastian Schöberl has been working in the property sector for 8 years. Most recently he was head of structuring and operations for F&C Reit Asset Management (now BMO Real Estate Partners) and responsible for the loan administration of over €1bn. He has financed more than EUR 700m of loans (Hypothekendarlehen as well as syndicated loans) with European banks including Helaba, RBS, pbb, Eurohypo, Berlin Hyp, HVB etc. and been involved in raising more than €500m in equity.
Sebastian holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute, Charlottesville He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.
Sebastian’s memberships include: LMU Management Alumni, CFA Institute, German CFA Society.
Darragh oversees the Swiss & German accounting functions. He is also responsible for the maintenance and development of the group-wide accounting system (YARDI).
Darragh joined McCafferty Asset Management in 2006 as an Accounts Assistant. He progressed through ACCA to qualify as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2009. Darragh has been involved in the Numisma fund at varied levels since 2006, encompassing bookkeeping, budgeting, cash forecasting and assorted financial/KPI/covenant reporting. Darragh has been project manager for the implementation of a new international real estate accounting system (YARDI) for two clients: the Numisma fund in 2009 and the Stenprop fund in 2014.

Alex is responsible for Financial Reporting, Financial Modelling and Management Reporting for a number of our clients. She also manages Group Consolidations and is our Company Accountant for the UK office.
Alex joined McCafferty in 2010 as an Accounts Assistant studying towards her AAT. She has since progressed through both AAT and CIMA to qualify as a Chartered Management Accountant.
After leaving University in 2007 Alex spent a year travelling through India, South East Asia and New Zealand. She then worked in Corporate Billing for Virgin Media before joining McCafferty.

Angela is responsible for overseeing the running of the day to day operations in the office, together with acting as PA to the CEO and providing direct administrative assistance to the senior members of the team.
Angela joined McCafferty as PA to the CEO/Office Manager in 2009 from LPC, where she was the senior administrative assistant to the team who built and managed the Numisma Fund since 2005.
Prior to joining LPC, Angela started her career in administration at The Hurd Rolland Partnership in 2000 where she undertook her NVQ Level II in Business Administration. She then moved on to work at AMCAT in 2003 where she was responsible for the full administration of the office, including HR, payroll and assisting the marketing manager with events and publications.

David is responsible for delivering the overall corporate finance reporting and strategy for clients. He manages the full range of financial reporting from a funding, investor and day to day management perspective. He jointly handles the relationships with sponsors, funders professional advisers and focuses on delivering quality reporting relative to the clients’ needs. He also more recently has taken up Directorships of some property portfolios in ‘white knight’ scenarios.
Prior to joining McCafferty, David was the financial controller and member of the senior management team at a sizeable provider of private student accommodation. During his time there, he took a lead role in growing a sustainable portfolio of student accommodation from £200m to £1 billion gross assets in only 4 years. This included acquiring assets, transactional due diligence, financial modelling, pro-actively securing senior debt and reviewing and controlling systems and processes to align with the growing business needs whilst controlling costs. He has previously spent time financially managing and advising SME businesses and lecturing professional accounting students. He spent 18 months working in New Zealand on a corporate financial negligence case.

Steve is responsible for sourcing, acquiring, strategically enhancing and disposing of UK commercial properties. He is also responsible for building and maintaining client relations and producing regular reports in line with client requirements.
Prior to joining McCafferty in 2015, Steve worked at Magnus Ltd for 22 years where, amongst other roles, he had direct responsibility for the purchase and development of a number of assets within the portfolio, including over £25m of office buildings in Manchester City Centre. He has lead on a number of Joint Ventures and partnerships with combined end values of ca. £200m. During his time at Magnus, Steve was seconded to Birchwood Park Estates, a subsidiary of MEPC, to lead and drive the growth of a 123 acre,1.8million sq ft business park in Warrington where values were driven upwards from £23m to £180m over a 7 yr period and Income driven from £2.3m to £11m. Another one of Steve’s career highlights is winning the 2007 British Council for Offices award for best commercial workspace in the North for the £20m Bridgewater Place Office project.

Kenny manages a number of UK properties dealing with many aspects ranging from lease renewals through to periodic site inspections. Kenny also aids in the acquisition and sale of Assets both in the UK and Germany through Portfolio reviews and analysis & creating Cash Flow models.
Kenny Joined McCafferty in 2013 as an Associate to deal with Property Management. During his time with the company he has continued to develop his knowledge and has assisted the Senior Management team with the sale of a number of properties.
Prior to working at McCafferty, Kenny was part of the Management team at Cablescan, with a team of 24 operatives under his leadership to produce wiring harnesses for the Ministry of Defence and the Aviation Industry.

Lea works as an Asset Manager in the Swiss office, covering both asset and property management. In addition she accompanies restructuring projects with a strong focus on operational optimization. Lea is also very active in the real estate investment market assisting in acquisition and property transactions with her knowledge on transaction management and due diligences.
Lea worked for a nationwide operating real estate full service provider (planning, construction, and management) and gained experience in property management, accounting, letting and also consulting, especially in the operations. Among other things she worked as a Key Account Manager where she was responsible for a Swiss retail portfolio with more than 50 assets (volume € 240M) and also as transaction manager in the complete sale of a corporate portfolio, with mainly industrial properties and agricultural land.

As Managing Director of the Swiss McCafferty office Jan is responsible for the asset & property management, commercial letting, tenant relationships and business development. Furthermore he is directly involved in different projects, mostly in the scope of restructuring, strategy and value add.
After about 3 years in the financing department of a small private bank in Munich, Jan has more than 10 years experience in managing real estate in Switzerland. He worked in different positions (consulting, valuation, commercial letting, transactions, etc.) for a nationwide operating real estate full service provider (planning, construction, and management) and was there finally responsible for the asset and property management department as well as for the key account management with assets under management of about CHF 2bn before he joined McCafferty.

Julius first had contact with McCafferty as an intern while studying toward his BSc in Economics. He also gained experience working as an intern with Flex Fonds Invest AG. After completing his studies, Julius joined McCafferty as Analyst in the area of asset management.

Sonja is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Munich office and supports the team and the management in administrative tasks.
Sonja is a qualified hotel specialist. She spent ten years working for hotels in Germany, the United States and Australia, including five years in New Mexico. Prior to joining McCafferty, Sonja was at the Hotel Prinzregent in Munich.
Daniela carries out the property management for a large German portfolio as well as several other assets.
Daniela brings seven years of experience to her work as property manager. Before joining McCafferty, she worked for Tectareal (formerly Hochtief) and was responsible for the property management of residential and mixed-use properties.
Michael is responsible for a broad range of back office tasks, including payment execution, bank monitoring, software development and implementation.
Before joining McCafferty, Michael worked with several charities in the United States and Northern Ireland for a period of about ten years in a variety of positions.
Doreen is responsible for the property management of German commercial properties.
Doreen has more than 15 years of experience as property manager and has worked in the Munich branch of Bau-Verein zu Hamburg AG, a subsidiary company to TAG Immobilien AG. Prior to joining McCafferty, she worked at POLARES REAM GmbH, where she was responsible for commercial properties throughout Germany, with tenants such as Siemens AG, Deutsche Bahn Schenker AG, Rezidor Hotel Group, and others.
As Senior Manager, Samson is responsible for investment and asset management and investor relations.
Before joining McCafferty, Samson worked for several years in the areas of investment and asset management while at IVG Immobilien AG in Frankfurt and London as well as Dundee International Advisors (now DREAM) in Frankfurt.
